The DAIWA BG reels combine highest strainability and retrieving power with a silky-smooth running and premium design. The HardBodyZ reel body, made of aluminum, cares for a distortion-proof housing of the Digigear II gearing and optimal power transmission during the fight with the fish. Especially for the use of braided lines the ABS aluminum spool has been equipped with a central rubber ring, which completely prevents slipping of smooth braided lines under strain.

The BG reels are coated by a special “no paint” surface procedure, which completely eliminates the threat of chipping paint flakes also at heavy usage and at sea fishing.

The reel handle is firmly screwed into the reel body and is housed distortion proof and securely – perfect when heavy strains have to be transmitted at sea fishing.

Starting at size 4500 these reels are also perfectly suited for the use at heavy jigging or uncompromising fishing for catfish. From size 4500 the bail is turned by hand.
DAIWA BG-rullarna kombinerar högsta belastningsförmåga och upptagningsförmåga med en silkeslen gång och premiumdesign. HardBodyZ-rullhuset, tillverkat av aluminium, ger ett vridstyvt hölje för Digigear II drevet och optimal kraftöverföring under kampen med fisken. Speciellt för användning av flätade linor har ABS aluminiumspolen utrustats med en central gummiring, som helt förhindrar att släta flätade linor glider under belastning.

BG-rullarna är belagda med en speciell "no paint" ytbehandling, som helt eliminerar risken för flagnande färg även vid tung användning och vid havsfiske.

Rullehandtaget är fastskruvat i rullhuset och sitter säkert och vridstyvt - perfekt när tunga påfrestningar måste hanteras vid havsfiske.

Från storlek 4500 är dessa rullar också perfekt lämpade för användning vid tungt jiggfiske eller kompromisslöst fiske efter mal. Från storlek 4500 svarvas bygeln för hand.

ATD
The biggest issue with many drag systems is that they are not smooth at the beginning of the drag.
ATD is fine tuned to react more quickly, the instant line release is required. This smoother start up eliminates the ‘snatch’ that previously occurred when tension inertia was overcome.
ATD also implements structural changes to the spool metal of the reel that provides greater support of the spool across the entire length of the main shaft. This additional support reduces spool twist under load, promotes more even pressure on the drag washers and ultimately reduces "pulsing" of the drag when fighting the fish.
