23' Exceler LT – The next Generation – with Airdrive design!

Thanks to the new lightweight Airdrive Rotor the starting resistance at reeling in is reduced. The total weight of the reel gets decreased and due to the weight reduction at the front unit the balance is shifted towards the back part of the reel. This leads to a better balance at the rod, improved sensitivity and a better casting performance. The reel body of Zaion V material cares for a distortion-proof housing of the Tough Digigear and permanent smooth running. The new Airdrive bail is more lightweight than before, ultimately tough and significantly decreases the threat of tanglings in combination with the new bail arm.

The ATD Type-L drag cares for an even and optimized line release under strain without high starting resistance, providing the required safety when fighting large specimen. The aluminum Longcast ABS spool features a special spool rim that contributes to longer casting distances. The Twistbuster III design at the line roller is perfect for the use of braided lines: the braid doesn't get compressed during retrieving and less twist is the result. The CNC cut aluminum handle is firmly screwed into the body for instant contact.

Rullkroppen i ZAION V-material ger en vridstyv konstruktion som skyddar Tough Digigear-drevet och säkerställer en mjuk och jämn gång över tid. Den nya AIRDRIVE-bygeln är lättare än tidigare, extremt hållbar och minskar risken för lintrassel i kombination med den nya bygelarmen.

Det avancerade ATD Type-L-bromssystemet levererar en jämn och optimerad linfrisättning under belastning, helt utan högt startmotstånd – vilket ger trygghet även i kampen mot stor fisk. Den robusta Longcast ABS-spolen i aluminium har en speciellt utformad spolkant som bidrar till längre kastlängder.

Twistbuster III-linöglan är perfekt för flätlinor, då linan inte komprimeras vid invevning vilket minskar risken för lintrassel. Den CNC-frästa aluminiumveven är direkt inskruvad i kroppen för omedelbar kontakt och maximal stabilitet.

AIRDRIVE DESIGN – Lightness, Power & Precision Combined: AIRDRIVE DESIGN represents Daiwa’s cutting-edge innovation in spinning reel engineering, built around four core components—AIRDRIVE ROTOR, AIRDRIVE BAIL, AIRDRIVE SPOOL, and AIRDRIVE SHAFT. This integrated system delivers unmatched lightness, responsiveness, and control to elevate the angling experience. The AIRDRIVE ROTOR, made from lightweight ZAION material, is 16% lighter than previous designs, reducing inertia for smoother, more responsive rotation. The AIRDRIVE BAIL, featuring a slimmer, hollow structure, cuts weight by 33%, improving line flow and minimizing tangles. AIRDRIVE SPOOL contributes to overall weight reduction and balance while enhancing oscillation performance. AIRDRIVE ROTOR

Low inertia is the key.
The newly developed AIRDRIVE ROTOR is made from ZAION. Maintaining the strength of the rotor from 18 EXIST, DAIWA has been able to reduce the weight significantly. Designed with focus to create a perfectly round structure, trouble free and flawless rotation have been achieved.
The rotor unit itself has seen a 16% weight reduction compared to the previous model (Based on 2500 size reel) and will set the standard for what future rotor design of small spinning reels will be.

AIRDRIVE BAIL

Trouble free future.
DAIWA has constructed a bail smaller in diameter whilst providing required strength to achieve a further weight reduction to the front unit. In comparison to 18 EXIST, AIRDRIVE BAIL reduces the weight of the bail by 33% (compared to 2500 size).
DAIWA has adjusted the angle of bail setting to improve the line movement into the roller. Careful attention was given to the roller and slider and individual design alterations were done for each size of 22 EXIST, perfectly adjusting the line management for each size of the reel.

ZAION V

ZAION V – The Evolution of Carbon Technology ZAION V is Daiwa’s next-generation carbon hybrid resin, engineered to push the limits of lightweight strength. Retaining the weightlessness of ZAION, this advanced composite is even stiffer and more resistant to stress than previous DS5 and DS4 materials. The enhanced rigidity of ZAION V allows for stronger, more compact reel bodies and rotors, reducing flex and improving the efficiency of internal mechanics.
