Martin Rees is a dedicated Team Angler for Daiwa with a broad and versatile approach to fishing. He enjoys a wide range of disciplines, from fly fishing for rainbow trout to traditional deadbaiting for pike. His true passion, however, lies in European predator fishing—targeting pike, zander, and perch, with perch being his absolute favorite species.

Martin primarily fishes with softbaits, where his preferred techniques include bottom fishing and the Carolina rig. At the same time, he enjoys experimenting with hardbaits, especially crankbaits, with a particular fondness for squarebills.

An important part of Martin’s work and passion is being actively involved in the development of perch lures for Daiwa. He finds great satisfaction in contributing to the creation of modern, high-performance lures designed to fish effectively and meet the demands of today’s European predator anglers.
