At 375 g, it is the lightest in DAIWA’s history. Its lightness delivers ‘AIR MONSTER’ sensitivity.

The weight is 375g, and a new size has been added to the DAIWA electric reel range.
The world of DAIWA electric reels, which has long championed the motto ‘Lightness equals sensitivity’, has expanded even further. The fact that they are now lighter and more compact leads to improved sensitivity and enhanced handling.
Not only is it lightweight and compact, but the adoption of HYPERDRIVE DIGIGEAR (drive gear + pinion gear) has also improved its manual reeling performance, resulting in a stronger and smoother reeling feel. Precisely because this is a compact electric reel that overlaps in application with two-axis reels, we have placed particular emphasis on enhancing its manual reeling performance. The reel is equipped with a MAGMAX motor, which delivers both torque and instantaneous power. It achieves a maximum Drag Force of 7 kg and a JAFS-standard winding power of 6 kg. With a line capacity of 300 m of PE No. 1 or 200 m of PE No. 1.5, it is capable of handling a wide range of species, including Cutlassfish, round squid, Mackerel, Sea Bream, red seabream, flounder and Filefish, as well as techniques such as Tairaba and squid jigging. Not only does this eliminate the hassle of retrieving the line from deep-water spots, but it also dramatically improves casting efficiency. Furthermore, with ‘Electric Mobile Setting’ compatibility, line input, maintenance management, function settings and personalisation of the unit can all be carried out via the DAIWA app.

DAIWA Technology

JOG POWER LEVER

The power lever has been repositioned to the centre of the body, and its design has been changed from a lever to a jog dial style. This allows the angler to perform reeling and engage or disengage the clutch using just the thumb of the hand holding the Rod, completely freeing the other hand from operating the lever so that the angler can concentrate fully on handling the Rod. This flexible one-thumb operation enables precise control of the lever, allowing the angler to adjust the reeling speed at will.

MAGMAX MOTOR

The MAGMAX MOTOR is a custom motor designed exclusively for DAIWA electric reels. The ‘special neodymium magnets’, which form the core of the motor system, are ideal for generating sufficiently high torque even at low speeds under light loads, combining toughness with power. As well as accommodating delicate power adjustments such as ‘slow reeling’ and ‘gentle stops at the Gunwale’, this responsive brush motor also excels in burst power.

MAGSEALED BALL BEARING

Using its proprietary technology, DAIWA has succeeded in becoming the first in the world to apply MAGSEALED technology to the ball bearing itself. A wall of magnetic fluid prevents water and foreign particles from entering the interior of the ball bearing, thereby significantly reducing rust, salt deposits and abnormal noises whilst maintaining the ball bearing’s inherent rotational performance.

HYPERDRIVE DIGIGEAR

A newly designed gear system engineered to ensure consistently strong and smooth rotation. This is DAIWA’s proprietary technology, which achieves long-lasting initial smoothness by increasing the meshing ratio without reducing the module (size) of the gear teeth—a factor directly linked to durability.

ATD

The ATD operates smoothly in response to the fish’s pull and maintains a consistent drag. Designed to minimise slippage and ensure excellent tracking, it allows you to concentrate on the fight without having to worry about drag settings.

Aluminium JOG Power Lever

Thanks to its aluminium machining, it offers excellent grip, making winding operations more comfortable even with wet fingers. Furthermore, compared to resin models, it allows for more precise and intuitive operation.

MAGMAX Motor

Featuring specialised neodymium magnets and a responsive brush motor, it offers excellent burst power, allowing anglers to wind the line exactly as they wish. Furthermore, thanks to its high torque, slow reeling is a breeze.

Dot-matrix LCD counter

New dot-matrix LCD counter. The large characters are positioned within the counter, ensuring excellent visibility.
The on-screen prompts are clear, and the various settings require no manual. The display is highly visible even in backlight conditions, with large text that is easy to read in the field*—it remains clear even when wearing polarised sunglasses.

Compact design

Compared to the SEABORG200J, it is 20 per cent more compact.
The compact body, which fits comfortably in the palm of your hand, delivers superb responsiveness thanks to the synergy with the ZERO_SEAT and AIR SENSORSEAT.

Size 100

With its compact and lightweight body, it offers line capacity suitable for a wide range of light game fishing applications, including 300 m of PE No. 1 and 200 m of PE No. 1.5. It is suitable for a variety of targets, such as Cutlassfish and tairaba fishing.

HYPERDRIVE DIGIGEAR

It incorporates the HYPERDRIVE DIGIGEAR, which has a proven track record in demanding conditions. Even when reeling in by hand, it delivers smoother rotation than conventional electric reels, whilst maintaining its high initial performance over the long term.

High-rigidity aluminium frame

It features an aluminium frame that firmly secures the spool and gears even under load, enabling the reel to perform to the very highest standard. Furthermore, it is significantly lighter than the SEABORG 200J.

Maximum Drag Force 7 kg & ATD

Despite being a size 100, it delivers a maximum Drag Force of 7 kg. This ATD model boasts a maximum Drag Force of 7 kg, making it more than a match for dragons and large sea bream.

Motor ON/OFF-linked clutch

When winding the JOG power lever
1) When the clutch is engaged ⇒ Winding starts at the set JOG value
2) When the clutch is disengaged ⇒ Motor stops / JOG setting is maintained

Aluminium motor housing

A FF structure designed with a low-profile reel, achieved by positioning the motor at the front of the spool. Aluminium components are used to ensure a comfortable grip and high cooling efficiency.

110 mm long handle Lure arm

Featuring an EVA I-shape M knob on a 110mm long handle arm, this model is ideally suited to electric light tackle fishing.

Electric slow winding

A function that enables the ‘slow reeling’ technique, which is said to be effective for a variety of target fish. Set the low-speed setting within the electric winding speed adjustment to ‘slow’.
With a power supply voltage of 13V–16.8V, ultra-slow winding at a winding speed of 1 is possible when using a No. 50 TENYA lead sinker.

Dot-matrix LCD menu

The on-screen prompts are clear, and you don’t need a manual to adjust the various settings.

Compared to the Power Cord, it is 115 g lighter, representing a 46 per cent reduction in weight.
The weight of the cable is 135g, making it lightweight and flexible.

Electronic Drag Sound

The sound of the drag, which heightens the angler’s excitement, has been digitised. You can choose from three different digital drag sounds.

Reeling speed display

The winding speed for manual reeling is displayed on the counter (the circled area on the left)

Quick reeling / Jigging

The ‘Quick Reeling’ function allows you to reel in instantly at a preset speed simply by pressing the PICK UP switch. It also features a ‘Quick Stop’ function, which halts the motorised winding only whilst the PICK UP switch is held down, as well as a handy ‘Jigging’ function that lets you set the motorised automatic reeling pattern, speed and range.

Display correction

A function that allows you to easily adjust the counter display whilst fishing if it becomes misaligned with the line colour.

Depth Alarm

A handy alarm that lets you gauge the depth by the sound of the alarm, without having to look at the counter, when the Rig is dropped or being wound.
* An audible alarm sounds every 10 metres during Fall (FL) and winding (UP)
*Three patterns available for each
・FL/UP1: One alarm every 10 metres
・FL/UP3: 10m once, 20m twice, 30m three times, repeated

This electric reel is compatible with 12V to 16.8V direct current (DC). It cannot be used with power sources outside the specified range, such as 100V alternating current (AC) from a domestic mains supply or 24V DC from boat equipment. Furthermore, due to generators and wiring, the voltage of a boat power supply can easily become unstable, which may cause the reel’s protection circuit to activate, resulting in the reel stopping or rotating intermittently. To ensure the reel performs to its full potential, please use a genuine Daiwa battery designed for electric reels (please check ‘View Details’ for compatible batteries).
