The casting performance of blade jigs, MINNOWs, sinking pencils and small jigs—frequently used in harbours and inshore waters—has been significantly improved. Furthermore, the SVF Nano Plus blank, adopted for the first time in the SALTIGA series, offers a crisp, responsive swing-through action reminiscent of a Sea Bass rod, delivering an exhilarating casting experience. Furthermore, the use of a high-elasticity blank has significantly improved sensitivity. You can clearly feel everything from the rotation of a blade to the amplitude of a MINNOW and the way a sinking pencil lure bites into the current right in your hands. Moreover, the grip area features a lightweight Air Sensor Sheet, ensuring outstanding manoeuvrability. The longer reel seat is a straight-type design with no steps, allowing for comfortable casting and retrieving without any discomfort when holding the rod under your arm.

X45 FULL SHIELD
The X45 FULL SHIELD construction utilises a 45° carbon bias weave, applied from the outermost layer—where it is most effective—at the tip of the blank, the area most prone to twisting during actions such as casting, retrieving, hooking and fighting. This dramatically improves torsional rigidity, enabling greater casting accuracy than ever before and allowing the Rod to deliver its full potential.
V-JOINTα
The V-JOINT α was created by utilising a high-strength nano-alloy in the joint section and applying DAIWA’s proprietary precision machining technology, thereby evolving the V-JOINT to be even stronger, lighter and with a smoother bend. For fishing involving repeated casting, making the joint section thinner allows the entire blank to be finished with a slimmer profile, improving both the casting action and handling.

Grip
Features a lightweight air-sensor seat. It offers a comfortable grip and is perfectly suited to #4000–#6000 class reels.
Blank & Guide
The blank is the high-resilience, high-sensitivity SVF Nano Plus. It combines a light, responsive casting feel with the sensitivity to clearly detect changes in the Lure’s drag. The guides are all-titanium K-guides.
Straight grip
In light casting, where fast, free-reeling techniques are common, the step in the handle when holding the rod under the arm can be a source of concern. Whilst separate grips are prevalent, a straight grip has been adopted to ensure stress-free use.
