Amongst these, the SLJ model combines the finesse required to manoeuvre lightweight Jigs with precision in shallow areas with the power to withstand even unexpected Big Ones.

BRAIDING X

This reinforced structure suppresses torsion—which leads to power loss during Rod handling—by securing the outermost layer of the Rod Butt with carbon tape in an X-pattern. The blank itself remains slender whilst ensuring high strength, and by reducing the perceived weight, it improves manoeuvrability.

This rod achieves a balance between the finesse required to manoeuvre the rod precisely in shallow areas and with lightweight jigs, and the power to hold its own against unexpected Big Ones. Whilst featuring a taper that makes Jigging easy and reduces strain on the angler, it is equipped with a blank capable of handling a wide range of Jigging techniques. The range comprises five items suitable for fishing in various locations.

Both the spinning and baitcasting models feature DAIWA’s original reel seat. This configuration is ideal for super-light jigging using small reels.
