By establishing a wireless connection via ‘Bluetooth®’, the electric reel can be operated remotely.

Set the Mega Twin (Power/Speed) to either automatic switching (Auto) or manual switching (Manual).

The switch is used to manually toggle between Power and Speed.

Once the line has been reeled onto the spool, pull out 10 metres of line and feed it in.
The 10-metre extension cord makes Line Retrieval Input even easier.

Adjustments following a line break can be made easily by pulling out 10 metres of line.

It alerts you via on-screen display and audible signals to any shift in the stop point caused by line stretch or shrinkage—the arch-enemy of deep-sea fishing.

If you raise the power lever from zero whilst holding down the PICK UP switch, the motor will run as long as you keep the PICK UP switch pressed.

*Please note! As long as you continue this operation, the winding will not stop even after the counter reaches 0.0. Please take great care when winding to ensure that nothing gets caught in the mechanism.

It’s called ‘REMOTE JOG’

The electric reel connects to the REMOTE JOG.

Until now, the only way to wind an electric reel was to operate the reel itself.
However, with the introduction of REMOTE JOG, it has become possible to control the winding operations (start, stop and speed adjustment) without having to touch the reel directly.
The REMOTE JOG winding mechanism utilises DAIWA Technology’s ‘JOG Power Lever’.
This allows for one-handed winding, just as if you were operating a smaller model.
Of course, it’s not just about the winding operation.
The LCD screen on the REMOTE JOG synchronises with the electric reel to display the water depth at all times.
It’s just like a portable electric reel.

You never know when the fish might take the bait.
With large electric reels, which are almost always left to run on their own, there is a slight delay in the response when you are away from the reel.
However, with REMOTE JOG, actions such as baiting the fish and setting the hook whilst winding can be performed instantly.

Another handy feature is being able to check the water depth right at your fingertips.
For example, in deep-sea fishing, when the captain specifies a fishing depth of several hundred metres, it takes a considerable amount of time to retrieve the Rig and land the fish.
Until now, I’ve had to keep glancing at the LCD screen on the reel several times whilst reeling in, but with REMOTE JOG, I can check the water depth at a glance without having to worry about the FUNE’s motion or glare from the sun on the screen.
