The stage is ‘the whole world’. The ‘SALTIGA EXPEDITION’ is a multi-piece Jigging rod that allows you to take on the world’s biggest fish head-on whilst on expedition.
Despite its toughness, it measures less than 90 cm when stowed, making it highly portable and allowing for greater agility whilst on expedition. With the whole world as its playground, the SALTIGA EXPEDITION makes your dream of landing monster catches a reality, unrestricted by borders or fish species.

DAIWA Technology

X45 FULL SHIELD

The X45 FULL SHIELD construction utilises a 45° carbon bias weave, applied from the outermost layer—where it is most effective—at the tip of the blank, the area most prone to twisting during actions such as casting, retrieving, hooking and fighting. This dramatically improves torsional rigidity, enabling greater casting accuracy than ever before and allowing the Rod to deliver its full potential.

ZERO SEAT

ZERO SEAT is a new design concept for reel seats, aimed at allowing anglers to enjoy fishing to the full, free from stress.

HVF NANOPLUS

‘High-density HVF carbon’—which reduces the amount of resin whilst increasing the density of the carbon fibres—is the ideal material for rods designed to prioritise toughness and strength. By combining Toray Industries, Inc.’s Nanoalloy Technology with DAIWA’s proprietary manufacturing process, it is possible to achieve even greater strength and lighter weight.

V-JOINTα

The V-JOINT α was developed by utilising a high-strength nano-alloy in the joint sections and applying DAIWA’s proprietary precision machining technology, thereby evolving the V-JOINT to be even stronger, lighter and with a smoother bend. For rods with a large number of sections, this makes it possible to shorten the joint sections, contributing to both strength and lightness.

Grip end

Like the SALTIGA BREAKTHROUGH, the grip end is designed to make fighting fish against your chest easier. It also makes it easier to grip the rod firmly when casting from below, helping you achieve greater casting distances.
