AGS
The AGS (AIR GUIDE SYSTEM), which delivers both lightness and high sensitivity, utilises a carbon frame. Thanks to carbon’s inherent properties—which provide approximately three times the rigidity of titanium—it offers exceptional sensitivity, transmitting even the slightest signals along the line directly to the blank without any loss. Furthermore, the lightness of the carbon enhances swing speed and allows the tip to stabilise more quickly, resulting in a significant improvement in both distance and control.
CWS (CARBON WRAPPING SYSTEM)
DAIWA’s proprietary technology for securing guides and reel seats to the blank.
By securing components using tightly woven carbon fibre fabric rather than thread, the weight of the mounting points has been reduced. Furthermore, this CWS system offers improved holding power (torsional rigidity at the guide mounting points) and durability (crack resistance). The distinctive appearance of the carbon fibre fabric gives it a striking presence.

SVF COMPILE-X Nano Plus
An ultra-muscular blank constructed from significantly reduced resin and a correspondingly high density of graphite fibres. Its high rigidity and tension result in excellent signal transmission, delivering a sensitivity that feels as though you can feel the fish in the water. Furthermore, the reduced resin content translates into improved lightness and power, enabling the creation of a far lighter Rod for the same power rating, or a far slimmer Rod for the same power and weight. This blank is indispensable for fishing styles that demand an instantaneous response to bites, offering both acute sensitivity and powerful Rod Butt power. Its slender profile makes it easy to swing through the casting motion, enabling precise casts that never miss the intended spot, whilst its light weight allows for a full day’s fishing. By combining Toray Industries, Inc.’s Nanoalloy Technology with ultra-high-density carbon SVF—which delivers lightness, power and a slimmer profile—using DAIWA’s proprietary manufacturing process, we have achieved even greater strength and lightness.
X45 FULL SHIELD
The X45 FULL SHIELD construction utilises a 45° carbon bias weave, applied from the outermost layer—where it is most effective—at the tip of the blank, the area most prone to twisting during actions such as casting, retrieving, hooking and fighting. This dramatically improves torsional rigidity, enabling greater casting accuracy than ever before and allowing the Rod to deliver its full potential.
3DX
3DX is a support structure that demonstrates its effectiveness by focusing on resilience. A honeycomb structure, which offers excellent stability and resilience, is incorporated into the outer circumference to enhance the Rod’s ability to regain its original shape. Every time the Rod bends, it is subjected to stress, causing its cross-section to deform into a slightly flattened shape. The greater the force that returns it to a perfect circle, the higher the resilience; this helps to minimise Rod Tip wobble, thereby improving casting stability and increasing casting distance.
MEGA TOP
MEGATOP is a carbon solid in which fibres and resin are uniformly dispersed, exhibiting the same degree of flex in every direction. As a result, its strength is dramatically improved compared to conventional carbon solids. This makes it possible to create a rod tip that is slender, flexible and highly tapered, resulting in a rod tip that not only offers excellent sensitivity through the rod but also provides superior visual sensitivity, allowing the angler to detect even the slightest bite.
ZERO SEAT
ZERO SEAT is a new design concept for reel seats, aimed at allowing anglers to enjoy fishing to the full, free from stress.

We aimed for ‘zero’ stress—to the point where you could almost forget the reel seat was there. Fit, lightness and ease of use. We pursued the optimal balance of these various factors through rigorous testing in real-world fishing conditions.
