To ensure you enjoy fishing safely, please be sure to read the ‘Instruction Manual’ supplied with the product.

To prevent injury to the user or others, as well as damage to property, please ensure you follow the instructions set out in the instruction manual and on the product labels. The symbols used in the instruction manual and on the labels have the following meanings:

Fishing rods (including some Landing Nets)

Instructions for use

	● Electric shock from contact with power lines Please be careful to avoid electric shock from high-voltage power lines, railway lines, iron bridges and other power lines. Due to the nature of the materials used, fishing rods are good conductors of electricity. In particular, contact with power lines or similar, or even simply bringing the rod close to them, can result in electric shock and cause fatal accidents. When moving between fishing spots, fold up your rod and never use it under or near high-voltage power lines, railway lines, railway bridges or similar. ● Electric shock from lightning Please be careful of electric shock caused by lightning.If a thunderstorm occurs whilst you are fishing, immediately move away from your fishing rod and take shelter in a safe place. There is a risk of fatal electrocution from a lightning strike. ● ● Electrocution from power lines outside fishing spots ● Accidents have occurred where people using fishing rods outside fishing spots have come into contact with power lines. When using a fishing rod, pay close attention to your surroundings. There is a risk of fatal electrocution.
	● Precautions when casting When casting, please check carefully to ensure there are no people nearby. It is extremely dangerous if a fishing hook pierces a person, or if a Lure hook, Sinker or similar item strikes someone, as this could lead to a serious accident.
	● How to Loosen a Jammed Rod If your fishing rod is jammed (where the sections are locked together and cannot be separated), place non-slip grips near both sides of the joint, grip the rod firmly, and twist the sections in opposite directions whilst applying pressure (for telescopic rods) to loosen the joint. Please note that applying force all at once may cause your hand to become trapped in the rod joint, resulting in injury. ● How to free a snag If your Rig becomes snagged (entangled in an obstacle underwater or on land and cannot be freed), do not jerk the rod violently. This could cause the rod to break, or the detached Rig to fly off, resulting in injury. Where possible, pull the Line by hand to cut it free. As you may cut your hands on the Line, please protect your hands with gloves or a towel.If you are using Futoshi leader line, cutting it by hand may be dangerous. Please take great care. ● How to handle damage If, whilst in use, the fishing rod becomes damaged (broken, cracked, chipped or delaminated), there is a risk of injury to your hands or other parts of your body from the damaged area or fragments.
	●As the weight varies depending on materials, coatings and components, it is displayed as the Standard weight. ●As the overall length varies depending on the depth of the joint, it is displayed as the Standard overall length. Standard weight, standard overall length and other specifications are displayed in accordance with the Fair Competition Code. ●Each rod is finished by hand, one by one.Please note that as a result, there may be slight variations in colour and texture between individual products. ●The ‘base’ measurement indicates the outer diameter of the material at the end face of the base section. However, for Rocky Shore fishing rods and stream fishing rods, the outer diameter is measured 50 mm from the end face towards the tip; for ayu fishing rods, it is measured 100 mm from the end face towards the tip.

Spinning Reels

Instructions for Use

●When casting, please remember to open the bail. Failure to do so may result in the line breaking or the Rig flying off in an unexpected direction, which could injure people nearby.

●When casting, please ensure the stopper is set to ‘ON’. If you cast with the stopper set to ‘OFF’, the handle may reverse direction and strike your hand, causing injury.

●For reels equipped with a stopper, if you fish with the stopper set to ‘OFF’, the handle or other parts may rotate in the opposite direction, which could strike your hand and cause injury.

●Do not touch the line when it is being paid out rapidly. There is a risk of cutting your fingers on the line.

●Please note that the weight may vary depending on the materials, surface treatment and components used.

● Do not touch rotating parts such as the handle or rotor. There is a risk of injury.

● On reels fitted with a lever brake, if you extend your fingers whilst operating the lever, there is a risk of them coming into contact with the rotating rotor and causing injury.

● On reels with a lever brake, do not press the lever whilst the rotor is rotating in the opposite direction. The brake may engage suddenly, causing damage and potentially resulting in injury.

Double-bearing reels

Points regarding usage

	● Do not fish whilst placing your fingers near the line-feeding level wind. There is a risk of your fingers becoming trapped and causing injury. ● If your hand becomes trapped between the handle and the body, there is a risk of injury.
	● If you fish with the stopper set to ‘OFF’ on a reel equipped with a stopper, the handle or other parts may reverse direction and strike your hand, causing injury. ● Do not touch the line whilst it is being paid out rapidly. There is a risk of cutting your fingers on the line. ● Please note that the weight may vary depending on the materials, surface treatment and components used.
	● Please take great care when touching a rotating spool. There is a risk of injury.

Electric Reels

Instructions for Use

	● Do not fish with your fingers near the level wind where the line is guided. There is a risk of your fingers becoming trapped and causing injury. ● There is a risk of injury if your hand becomes trapped between the handle and the body.
	● Do not use a voltage other than the specified voltage for the battery or the FUNE’s power supply. Using a voltage other than the specified one may cause the electric reel to overheat, which could result in burns to your hands.
	● The weak radio waves emitted by the electric reel may cause medical devices such as hearing aids and pacemakers to malfunction, which could result in the user experiencing palpitations or dizziness.
	● Do not touch the rotating Spool. There is a risk of injury.
	● Do not grasp the line whilst it is being fed out rapidly or whilst it is being reeled in. You may cut your fingers on the line.
	● Before connecting the power supply, ensure the drag is fully loosened. In the event of a fault, the motor may run unchecked, entangling the Rig and potentially damaging the rod.
	● If the line becomes snagged, do not jerk the rod; instead, take the line in your hand and cut it. (Always protect your hands with gloves or a towel.) ● Please note that the weight may vary depending on the materials, surface treatment and components used.
	● Do not dismantle or modify electric reels. Doing so may lead to malfunctions or accidents.

Rainwear

Instructions for use, care and storage

● Please be sure to check the product warnings and care labels.

● Always wash by hand; do not use a washing machine, spin dryer or tumble dryer. Agitation in a washing machine or spin dryer can cause damage to the fabric, reduce the water-repellent properties of the surface, and lead to problems such as water leakage or peeling. Furthermore, please do not use a spin dryer, as this may cause violent shaking or tip-over accidents.Do not use tumble dryers or tumble tumblers, as these can cause problems such as extreme shrinkage or creasing of the fabric.

●Stains such as oil or mud, salt deposits and mould on the garment can cause water leakage. After use, immediately rinse any dirt from the fabric surface with water. For heavily soiled areas, soak a soft cloth or sponge in diluted neutral detergent and gently dab the stain to remove it.Afterwards, rinse thoroughly, hang on a hanger to reshape the garment, and allow it to dry completely in a well-ventilated area. Once fully dry, apply a water-repellent spray evenly across the fabric surface to help maintain its water-repellent properties to some extent. (Water-repellent sprays cannot be used on PVC or PU materials.)

● If you are storing valuables such as a wallet, mobile phone or car keys in the pockets, please place them in a commercially available waterproof case or similar to ensure they do not get wet. We cannot accept any liability for any issues arising with the contents of the pockets due to unforeseen accidents or similar circumstances.

● Do not stack the garment on top of other items whilst it is still wet from water or sweat, nor leave it lying around in this state. Do not wash coloured items together with other garments, as this may cause colour fading or colour transfer.

● The functional properties of the garment’s fabric (such as water-repellent or waterproof treatments) will deteriorate over time even if the garment is not used. When storing, do not leave the garment in places where the temperature rises—such as inside a car, a boot, or a storage room—or in direct sunlight or other light sources, or in damp conditions; instead, store it in a well-ventilated place.

●Products that have been stored for a long period may suffer from material peeling, creasing and other signs of ageing (such as hydrolysis of polyurethane), leading to a decline in performance, regardless of how frequently they have been used.

●Prolonged exposure to strong light, such as direct sunlight, may cause discolouration.

Functional Wear (Insect-Repellent [BUG BLOCKER] Series)

Instructions for Use and Storage

● Although the product has been treated to repel insects, the effectiveness may diminish due to friction. Please also note that repeated washing will similarly reduce its effectiveness.

● Do not use if you have allergies or sensitive skin.

● Please note that the product is not effective on areas not covered by the garment.

● This product works by repelling flying insects, thereby protecting you.

● If you experience itching, a rash or similar symptoms whilst using this product, stop using it immediately and seek medical advice from a specialist.

Floating Vest (Rigid Type)

Instructions for Use

●The floating vest is designed to provide buoyancy. However, it is not approved as statutory equipment for small vessels (with the exception of model DF-3420).

●Always fasten the crotch belt and secure the fastener or safety belt before use. If not fitted correctly, the floating vest may slip, causing you to lose your balance and putting you at risk.

Maintenance and Inspection

	● Using the life jacket as a seat cushion or pillow may reduce buoyancy or cause deterioration or deformation. Please avoid this at all costs.
	● When washing, remove the buoyancy material first and wash by hand (only for models where the buoyancy material is removable).

Storage Instructions

● Store the product in a well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight, ensuring it is not placed under heavy objects. Furthermore, leaving the product wet from water or sweat, or storing it inside a car or in the boot, may impair its performance.

Inflatable Life Jackets (Automatic and Manual Inflation)

Instructions for use, maintenance, inspection, storage and care

	● Whilst this product provides buoyancy to keep the wearer’s head above water and facilitates breathing, it does not guarantee safety of life. ● Do not damage the air chambers that provide buoyancy. Take particular care to avoid needles. If a hole is punctured in the air chamber, the air filled from the cylinder will leak, and the life jacket will be unable to perform its intended function. If you notice any damage or tears to the air chambers or inflation mechanism—such as from a fall or snagging on a needle whilst wearing the life jacket—check it immediately. If an air leak is detected, stop using it immediately and replace it with a new one. ● Although automatic inflatable lifejackets are designed to inflate when a sensor detects an overboard fall, this is an auxiliary function. To ensure your safety as quickly as possible, please manually pull the activation cord to inflate the lifejacket in the event of an overboard fall. ● If the inflation mechanism has been activated once, either automatically or manually, you must replace the inflation mechanism components, such as the gas cylinder, before using the lifejacket again. ● For your safety, please replace the inflation mechanism components, such as the gas cylinder, one year after purchase before continuing to use the lifejacket.
	● When wearing this life jacket, always ensure it is worn as the outermost layer of clothing. Wearing a bag or similar item over the life jacket, or wearing it underneath (inside) other clothing, may delay the activation of the automatic inflation device or restrict the space required for inflation, thereby compromising its intended function. ● Take great care to avoid bringing the life jacket into contact with open flames, such as cigarettes, and to prevent damage caused by sharp objects, such as needles or protruding items, which could puncture or snag the fabric. Before wearing, remove any sharp objects (such as Fishing Retractors, badges with pins, scissors, etc.). ● Avoid using this life jacket on Rocky Shores.
	● Please carry out a thorough pre-use inspection to check that there are no holes caused by damage or deterioration to the fabric or seams, and to ensure the cylinder is unused. ● Before use, please be sure to read the enclosed instruction manual carefully and carry out a pre-use inspection. ● If this product is stored or left in a damp place, exposed to the rain, or on board a FUNE, the sensor (Spool) will detect moisture and cause the product to inflate automatically. Therefore, when storing the product or when not wearing it, please keep it in a dry place. Furthermore, do not store it in direct sunlight or near light sources, in places where it may come into contact with chemicals, solvents or oil, in high-temperature areas such as near heat sources, or in places where it may be damaged by rodents or other pests. ● Do not machine wash the product. If it becomes dirty, please carry out maintenance in accordance with the instruction manual.

Inflatable Lifejacket (Manually Inflated)

Instructions for Use, Maintenance, Inspection, Storage and Care

	●Whilst this product provides buoyancy to keep the wearer’s head above the water surface and facilitates breathing, it does not guarantee the safety of the wearer’s life. ●Do not damage the air chambers, which provide buoyancy. Take particular care to avoid contact with needles. If a hole is punctured in an air chamber, the air filled from the cylinder will leak, and the product will be unable to perform its intended function.If you notice any damage or tears to the air chamber or inflation mechanism following a fall or snagging whilst wearing the product, check it immediately. If an air leak is detected, stop using it immediately and replace it with a new one. ●Manual-inflation life jackets are not fitted with sensors and will not inflate automatically after falling overboard. If you fall overboard, please pull the manual inflation cord to inflate the jacket. ●This product is fitted with a Holster (Belt) that prevents the air chamber from riding up during inflation. If you overboard and the lifejacket inflates whilst the Holster (Belt) is not worn correctly and securely in the correct position, it will not function as intended, which is extremely dangerous. Please ensure you read the enclosed instruction manual carefully before use and wear the lifejacket correctly. ● If the inflation mechanism has been manually activated even once, you must replace the inflation mechanism components (such as the cartridge) before using the product again. ● For your safety, please replace the inflation mechanism components (such as the cartridge) one year after purchase before using the product again.
	● When wearing this life-saving aid, always ensure it is worn as the outermost layer of clothing. Wearing a bag or similar item over the life-saving aid, or wearing it under (inside) your clothing, may restrict the space required for inflation and could impair its intended function. ● Take great care to avoid bringing the device near open flames, such as cigarettes, and to prevent damage caused by sharp objects, such as needles or protrusions, which could puncture or snag the material. Before wearing the device, please remove any sharp objects (such as Fishing Retractors, badges with pins, or scissors) and then use it. ● Please avoid using this device on Rocky Shores.

Eyewear

Instructions for Use and Storage

●Polarised sunglasses can prevent glare from daylight, harmful UV rays during normal use and reflections off water surfaces, but they do not offer any other protective functions. Please take great care to avoid facial injuries caused by contact with fishing tackle, Sinkers and Rigs.

●Always ensure you use a pair that fits your face properly. An ill-fitting pair may cause headaches.

● Storing the sunglasses whilst wet may reduce their polarising performance or damage the lenses. After use, shake off any excess water and store them in a dry place.

● LCD screens and car windscreens may be difficult to see through due to the polarising effect.

● When cleaning, gently wipe away any dirt with a soft cloth dampened with fresh water, then allow them to air dry immediately.

● Do not leave the glasses in places where they may become hot, such as inside a car in direct sunlight. This may cause the lenses to discolour or warp, or the frames to become misshapen.

● Sweat, make-up and similar substances may cause the frame coating to peel, discolour or transfer colour to the glasses. Please wipe them clean after use before storing.

● Bifocal polarised glasses fitted with convex lenses may cause burns if sunlight is concentrated and focused through the convex lens; therefore, please wear a hat to block out sunlight when using them. Furthermore, leaving them in direct sunlight could, in the worst-case scenario, cause them to catch fire. When not in use, please ensure they are stored in their case to prevent direct sunlight from reaching the lenses.

● If you experience any abnormalities or discomfort in your eyes, please stop using them immediately.

Rod Cases, Bags and Bakkanes

[Rod Cases, Bags and Bakkanes in General] Instructions for Use and Storage

● Avoid leaving the product for long periods in a car under the scorching sun, in direct sunlight, near fluorescent lights, or in hot and humid conditions. This may cause deformation, discolouration or deterioration.

● When cleaning, gently wipe off any dirt with a soft cloth dampened with fresh water, then leave to dry naturally in the shade.

● When storing the product, please ensure it is in good shape and keep it in a cool, dark place with good ventilation and low humidity.

● Please note that products left unused for long periods may suffer from material peeling, creasing or cracking due to ageing, regardless of how frequently they have been used, which may result in a reduction in functionality.

● Please avoid drawing water directly from the water’s edge, as you may be swept away by the receding current.

● Please do not carry heavy items in the bag, as this may cause the body to become misshapen or result in damage such as the handles coming loose or breaking, or the base tearing.

● Carrying heavy items using only one handle may cause the handle to come loose or break. Please ensure you hold both the left and right handles and use them simultaneously.

Footwear

Instructions for use

● Fishing footwear is designed specifically for each type of fishing. Please ensure you use footwear suitable for the location and conditions in which you are fishing. Using the footwear for purposes other than those for which it is intended may result in serious accidents or injuries caused by slipping.

● Regardless of how frequently they are used, the soles and midsoles of footwear may become detached over time due to ageing and other factors.Please ensure you inspect the footwear before each use. In particular, bend the sole repeatedly to check the midsole and sole for any peeling, cracks or fissures. Do not use the footwear under any circumstances if you notice any abnormalities. ●In the event that the sole comes away or the footwear becomes damaged whilst in use, stop using it immediately.

● The ‘rubber’, ‘spike pins’ and ‘Felt’ on the sole will wear down with use, causing the original grip to be lost. Always inspect the product before use and never use items that show significant wear.

● Depending on your skin type, you may experience itching or a rash whilst wearing the shoes. If this occurs, stop using them immediately and consult a specialist doctor.

Care and Storage Instructions

● Please note that, due to the nature of the material, discolouration or fading may occur.

● Storing the product whilst it is soiled or covered in dirt may damage the material and accelerate ageing. After use, please wash with fresh water and allow it to dry completely, naturally and thoroughly—including the interior—in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
(Please do not dry near a fire or in direct sunlight, as this may cause deformation or discolouration.)

● When storing, please avoid places with high temperatures or high humidity, as well as areas exposed to direct sunlight or indoor lighting. Furthermore, please do not leave the product in a car boot or inside a vehicle for long periods. Storage in high-temperature or high-humidity conditions will accelerate deformation, discolouration and deterioration.

●As deterioration—which directly affects the lifespan of the footwear—varies significantly from person to person depending on factors such as frequency and duration of use, the environment in which it is used, care and storage methods, and body weight, it is not possible to generalise about the ‘lifespan of footwear’. In harsh environments, such as ayu fishing, where the footwear is constantly submerged in water and exposed to strong summer sunlight, the lifespan will be even shorter than that of ordinary footwear; typically, a decline in adhesive strength and deterioration of the materials themselves will become apparent within 2–3 years.Please ensure you inspect your footwear before use and take every precaution to avoid accidents. Footwear currently on sale has the year of manufacture indicated on each individual item via a tag or printed label. (Example) 2301 ⇒ Manufactured in the 2023 financial year

Whitening of the boot surface

● The whitening of the rubber surface is caused by UV stabilisers and other additives rising to the surface; this is an unavoidable phenomenon designed to prevent the rubber from deteriorating. It does not affect the functionality of the product, so please feel free to use it with confidence.

Peeling of the enamel coating on the boot surface

● The peeling of a thin film from the rubber surface is due to the removal of the enamel coating applied to prevent scratches during transport. This does not affect the functionality of the product, so please feel free to use it with confidence.

Precautions for storing sandals

● Due to the nature of the materials, leaving the sandals in places such as car boots or car interiors—where temperatures and humidity are high—or in direct sunlight may cause them to become misshapen or shrink.

Air conditioning

Instructions for Use

● Do not use for any purpose other than keeping fresh fish, food and drinks cool or for transporting them.

● The cooler’s cooling performance is significantly affected by the amount and temperature of the ice placed inside, its arrangement, the quantity and temperature of the items being cooled, weather conditions such as ambient temperature and sunlight, and the number of times the lid is opened and closed.

● The cooler is designed exclusively for keeping items cool. It must not be used to keep hot items, such as hot water, warm.

● The cooler’s cooling capacity is temporary. Please do not use it for long-term storage.

● The cooler’s cooling capacity will gradually decrease over time due to ageing.

● Before use, please ensure that the Drain Plug is fully closed and that no foreign objects are caught in it, as this may cause water leakage.

● The cooler is not completely waterproof. If laid on its side or subjected to severe vibration, water may leak from between the top lid and the main body. This is particularly likely to occur when travelling by car—during acceleration, braking or when cornering—as water is more likely to leak from between the top lid and the main body. We recommend placing the cooler in a plastic bag or using it in conjunction with separately sold items such as a tackle tote or tackle tray.

● Condensation may form on the exterior of the cooler due to the difference between the internal temperature and the outside air temperature.Please be mindful of condensation when storing the cooler in a car boot or similar space.

● Applying excessive force to moving parts or opening and closing the top lid too forcefully may result in damage to the locking mechanism or cause the cooler to tip over. When closing the top lid, please press down on it from above whilst engaging the lock.

● A negative pressure build-up inside the cooler may cause the top lid to seal tightly, making it difficult to open.In such cases, lift a corner of the top lid or open the drain plug to allow air into the cooler before opening it. Forcing the lid open may result in damage or deformation.

● Dropping the cooler from a height or subjecting it to a strong impact may cause the top lid to come off and the contents to spill out. It may also cause deformation or damage to the cooler itself.

●For products using vacuum panels as insulation, please take care not to damage the vacuum panels when screwing into or drilling holes in the cooler body. If the vacuum panels are damaged, the cooler itself will become unusable.

●Prolonged exposure to sunlight or UV rays will cause the resin to gradually discolour and fade, leading to deformation and deterioration. Furthermore, the degree of discolouration and fading varies from part to part depending on the materials used.Please be aware that applying force to deteriorated areas may cause them to break.

● The printed design on the unit may be dissolved by solvents or oils. Please take care not to press hard objects against it, and ensure that it does not come into contact with solvents, oils or leather wax. In particular, during the summer when car interiors reach high temperatures, please ensure that the printed design does not come into contact with car seats or similar surfaces.

●The ‘FUNBARU-MAN’ anti-slip pad may transfer colour to the surface on which it is placed, depending on the material. Please take care when placing it.

●Do not immerse in water, store outdoors or subject to a strong jet of water for prolonged periods. Water may seep into the interior of the unit, the insulation layer or the inside of the top lid, which may reduce its cooling performance.

Safety Precautions

	● The cooler is an airtight container. There is a risk of suffocation if a person climbs inside and the lid is closed. Please keep it out of the reach of children.
	● Please avoid using dry ice. Supercooling and a rise in pressure may cause the container to rupture. ● Do not use the cooler to store batteries, hazardous materials or chemicals. Depending on the contents, there is a risk of the cooler bursting.
	● Take care not to trap your hands in moving parts such as the lid or handle. ● Do not stand on the lid. Deformation or cracking may result in injury. ● Always ensure that the handle and Belt are secure and in good working order, and be sure to carry the container by the centre. There is a risk of injury if the handle or Belt comes loose. If you notice any faults, please contact your retailer for inspection and repair.

Live bait and processed bait (without hooks)

Storage Instructions

● Not for human consumption. Do not eat or drink.

● Keep out of the reach of children and infants.

● Take care when handling bait containing oyster shells or similar items. There is a risk of injury to your hands.

● Store away from high temperatures and humidity.

Fishing hooks

Instructions for use

● The hook point is dangerous. Please handle with care.

● Do not use for any purpose other than fishing.

● Compared to standard painted or plated hooks, SaqSas hooks have a very sharp point and a smooth surface, making them more likely to pierce. Please take great care when handling them to prevent injury.

Storage Instructions

● Keep out of the reach of children and infants.

Disposal Instructions

● As it is dangerous to leave fishing hooks at the fishing spot, please ensure you take them home with you for disposal.

Lures (with hooks) / Lures (without hooks)

Instructions for use

● Hook points are dangerous. Please handle with care.

● When Casting, check your surroundings to ensure it is safe to do so. If there are people nearby, the hook could pierce them and cause injury.

● Please do not use for any purpose other than fishing.

● Please note that applying additional coats of paint may cause deterioration or malfunction.

Storage Instructions

● Keep out of the reach of children and infants.

● Even indoors, avoid storing in places exposed to direct sunlight, such as inside a car on a hot day, or anywhere else where high temperatures may occur.

● Leaving the product on plastic surfaces may cause it to become deformed.

Wakasagi Electric Reel, Light and Jet Air (Air Pump)

Instructions for Use

● If battery fluid comes into contact with your eyes, rinse immediately with clean water and seek medical attention. There is a risk of blindness or eye damage.

● Do not shine the UV light directly into your eyes or at other people or animals. There is a risk of damage to the eyes or skin.

● Do not look directly at the light or shine it into the eyes of people or animals. This may cause eye damage.

Battery

Restrictions on Operating Environment and Conditions

● Do not place the battery in a fire, or heat it in a microwave, oven or induction hob. Furthermore, do not charge, use or leave the battery in places where it may become hot, such as inside a car in direct sunlight, in areas with strong direct sunlight, in front of a heater or near a fire. There is a risk of leakage, ignition or rupture.

● Do not use or charge lead-acid batteries whilst they are sealed. They may rupture, causing personal injury.

● Do not immerse the battery in water or seawater. This may cause overheating, malfunction or corrosion of the terminals.

● If a lithium battery is dropped into the sea and seawater enters the interior due to water pressure, it will short-circuit and overheat. Furthermore, charging the battery in this state carries a very high risk of fire or rupture; therefore, you must never charge or use it under these circumstances.

● If there is any external damage, such as cracks, stop using the battery immediately. There is a risk of leakage, overheating or fire.

● The operating temperature range for lithium-ion batteries is as follows.
　Discharge (during use): –20 to 45°C ■ Charging: 10 to 35°C ■ Storage: 0 to 20°C

● The operating temperature range for lead-acid batteries is as follows:
Discharge (during use): –20 to 50°C ■ Charging: 0 to 40°C ■ Storage: –20 to 40°C
Operating outside this temperature range may reduce the battery’s performance and service life, or cause damage or deformation to the battery. At high temperatures, there is a risk of leakage, fire or rupture.

Precautions regarding preparation before use

● Before using the battery, please be sure to read the instruction manual or safety instructions carefully. If you find the instruction manual or safety instructions difficult to understand, please contact the manufacturer. Once you have read them, please keep them in a safe place and refer to them again when necessary.

● Batteries contain energy. Using a battery without reading the instruction manual or safety instructions may result in leakage, fire or explosion, which could cause personal injury.

● When using the battery for the first time after purchase, do not use it if there is any corrosion, overheating or other abnormalities at the battery terminals. Using the battery whilst it is in an abnormal condition may result in leakage, fire or explosion.

Charging Instructions

● Always use the dedicated charger and adhere to the specified charging conditions. Failure to follow the specified conditions may result in leakage, overheating, ignition or rupture.

● Do not connect the battery directly to a domestic power supply (mains socket) or a car cigarette lighter socket without using the charger. This may result in leakage, overheating, fire or rupture.

● Do not connect the charger cable whilst it is bundled up during charging. This may cause overheating or a fire.

● Never use (discharge) the battery whilst it is charging. This may cause leakage, overheating, fire or rupture.

● Do not charge the battery for longer than the charging time specified in the instruction manual. Furthermore, if charging does not complete within the specified time, stop charging immediately. Charging beyond the specified time may result in leakage, overheating, fire or explosion.

● If the battery becomes excessively hot during charging, stop charging immediately. This may result in leakage, fire or explosion.

● When charging the battery, please do so in a location where you can keep an eye on it so that any abnormalities can be detected immediately.

● Please avoid charging on wooden flooring. The heat may cause the flooring to discolour or warp.

Instructions for Use

● Do not connect (short-circuit) the positive and negative terminals of the battery using metal objects such as wire. Furthermore, do not transport or store the battery together with metal products such as fishing Rigs (balancers, feeders, sinkers, etc.) or Rod Holders. If the terminals are short-circuited, there is a risk of battery damage, fire, burns or rupture.

● Do not disassemble, modify or damage the battery or charger. This may result in leakage, fire or rupture.

● Charging the battery with the positive and negative terminals reversed may result in leakage, fire or rupture.

● Do not charge the battery in locations where the temperature exceeds the specified charging range. This may result in leakage, fire or rupture.

● If the battery leaks and the fluid comes into contact with your eyes, it may cause blindness; if it comes into contact with your skin, it may cause burns. Rinse immediately with clean water and seek medical attention.

● Do not use the battery for any purpose other than that specified. Using it for any other purpose may result in leakage, fire or rupture.

● Do not solder directly onto the battery. This may result in malfunction, leakage, fire or rupture.

● Do not subject the battery to strong impacts or throw it. This may result in malfunction, leakage, fire or rupture.

● If children are using the battery, parents or guardians must ensure they are taught the correct method of use. Please also ensure that it is being used safely at all times.

Maintenance and Inspection

● Batteries have a limited service life. Continuing to use a battery beyond its service life may result in a short circuit or damage to the battery cells (in Lead-acid batteries), which could lead to leakage, fire or explosion.

● Do not use the battery if you notice any unusual phenomena, such as leakage, a strange odour or deformation. Continuing to use a battery with such abnormalities may result in leakage, fire or rupture.

● When cleaning the battery, do not use products containing organic solvents such as thinner, petrol, benzine or commercially available rust inhibitors, nor alkaline or acidic detergents, or soaps containing alcohol. Doing so may cause the casing to deteriorate or lead to leakage.

● If seawater comes into contact with the battery terminals, wipe it off immediately. Leaving it may cause poor contact.

Storage Instructions

● Store and charge the battery out of the reach of young children.

● Do not store the battery in locations where the temperature exceeds the specified storage limit, such as inside a car in direct sunlight, in areas with strong direct sunlight, in front of a heater, or near a fire. This may result in leakage, fire or explosion.

Disposal Instructions

● Batteries have a limited service life. Disposing of a battery that has reached the end of its service life as normal waste or mixing it with other rubbish may result in fire or rupture.

● Used batteries can be recycled. When disposing of them, please insulate the terminals with tape or similar material. Even used batteries retain electrical energy, so failure to insulate the terminals may result in fire or rupture.

Power Holder (Rod Holder for Boat Fishing)

Instructions for Use

● Do not use for any purpose other than fishing.

● When storing, keep out of the reach of children and infants.

● When attaching to the Gunwale, tighten by hand without using tools. Please be careful not to overtighten, as this may cause damage.

● Take care not to trap your fingers when attaching or removing the holder from the Gunwale.

● Please be careful not to turn the bolt too far anti-clockwise, as this may cause the washer to fall off.

● Please be careful not to lean out over the Gunwale when attaching the rod holder, as there is a risk of falling overboard.

● When attaching the clamp to the Rod, please be aware that depending on the mounting position, the Rod material and the tightness of the clamp, the Rod may become deformed, scratched or cracked.

● Please ensure that the angle adjustment screw and swivel base screw are operated only when no load is being placed on the rod holder.

● You must always secure the rod to the rod holder using a safety line or similar. Please also note that we cannot accept liability for any loss or damage should the rod or reel fall overboard.

●As vibration may cause parts to loosen, please check from time to time that the bolts are securely tightened.

●Please ensure the clamp is securely fitted to the clamp receptacle until you hear a click. (To be on the safe side, pull the clamp section upwards to check that it is securely in place.)

●Please do not use this product for ‘winch fishing’ or similar methods where you fight a fish whilst the Rod remains in the rod holder.

●If the line becomes snagged, do not reel it around the rod holder and cut it.

●As the clamp deteriorates over time, please replace it with a new one immediately if any deformation or cracking occurs.

●Leaving the clamp attached to the rod for long periods may cause the rod to become deformed or damaged. Please remove the clamp when storing the rod.

●To prevent the build-up of salt deposits, rust and similar issues, and to ensure a longer service life, please always wash the product with fresh water after use. Wipe it thoroughly dry with a clean cloth, then apply lubricant to the specified points before storing.

●Please be aware that the product may be damaged if dropped or subjected to a heavy impact.

●Please note that, regardless of frequency of use, the product may deteriorate over time, leading to discolouration, deformation, corrosion and similar issues.

●If you notice any abnormalities with the product, please stop using it immediately.

Spatula Parasol

Instructions for Use and Storage

● Please take care to avoid injury, such as fingers becoming trapped, when attaching the clamp, fitting or adjusting the Adjuster, or opening and closing the Hera Parasol.

●Please do not tighten the handle whilst the Hera Parasol’s shaft or support pole is not inserted into the Adjuster, as this may deform the Adjuster ring and prevent the shaft or support pole from being inserted. If the ring does become deformed, you can open it using a flat-head screwdriver or similar tool to make it usable again.

●When using the Hera Parasol, please ensure that the opening and closing locks are engaged before use.

● When securing the parasol shaft to the Hera Parasol clamp, please tighten the screw sufficiently to ensure it is secure and cannot move.

● On windy days, there is a risk that the Hera Parasol may be blown away or damaged. Please refrain from using it on such days.

●The paddle umbrella is not completely waterproof.

●The paddle umbrella is designed exclusively for paddle fishing. Please do not use it for other types of fishing or for any non-fishing purposes.

●After use, please dry it thoroughly and store it out of the reach of children and infants.

●Leaving it in hot and humid places or exposing it to strong light for prolonged periods may cause discolouration or fading.

Parasol Vise

Instructions for use and storage

●The Parasol Vise is designed exclusively for use with Hera Parasols. Please do not use it for any purpose other than Hera fishing.

●It may not be possible to attach the vise to some Hera Parasols.

●Please do not use this with beach parasols, as it may cause damage.

●On windy days, there is a risk that the parasol may be blown away or damaged; please refrain from using it.

● When fitting or adjusting the clamp or spatula parasol, please take care to avoid injuries such as fingers getting caught.

● The pins on the clamp have sharp tips. Please take care when handling them.

● Fixing the clamp directly to a fibreglass boat or metal may cause damage to the boat’s edge or cause the clamp pins to become crushed.Please secure it to a wooden part or use a protective block or similar to protect the surface before use.

●Leaving the product in a location where temperatures rise abnormally, or exposing it to strong light for prolonged periods, may cause discolouration or fading.

●After use, wipe off any dirt, allow the product to dry thoroughly, and store it out of the reach of children and infants.

Hera Tent

Instructions for Use and Storage

●The tent is made from flammable fibres. Do not use open flames inside the tent or bring them close to it.

● On windy days, there is a risk that the tent may be blown away or damaged; please refrain from using it.

● It is dangerous during strong winds, heavy rain, heavy snowfall or lightning. Please take down the tent and seek shelter in a safe place.

● Do not use silicone-based waterproofing sprays. These can block ventilation and, in the worst case, may cause suffocation.

● This tent is designed exclusively for rod fishing. Please do not use it for any other purpose.

● Select a designated site for pitching the tent; please pitch it on a safe, flat area with good drainage.

● When opening or closing the tent, please take care to avoid injuries such as fingers getting caught.

● Whilst we take great care in dyeing the fabric, colour fading or discolouration due to prolonged exposure to strong light, high temperatures, high humidity or other conditions cannot be entirely avoided. We ask for your understanding.

● There is a risk of colour transfer when the fabric rubs against other fabric items. We ask for your understanding.

● Although the fabric has been treated to be water-repellent, as it is a sewn product, it is not completely waterproof.

● Water droplets appearing on the inside of the sheet during rainy weather are condensation and do not indicate a leak.

● Please store out of the reach of children and infants.

● After use, air-dry in the shade and ensure it is completely dry before storing. Storing whilst wet may cause mould, unpleasant odours, colour transfer or deterioration of the fabric.

● Avoid high temperatures and high humidity; store in a well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight.

● If soiled, wipe gently with a soft cloth.

● The fabric’s waterproof performance may diminish depending on usage conditions. Please maintain it with a waterproof spray (fluorocarbon-based) as required.

● Do not use a washing machine or spin dryer.

Fishing line

● Metal fishing lines may cause electric shock if they come into contact with power lines.

● Please use scissors or similar tools to cut the fishing line. Cutting it with your hands or teeth may result in injury.

Disposal

●For the sake of the environment, please do not leave fishing line at the fishing spot; be sure to take it home with you for disposal.

● To ensure a long service life, always wash with fresh water after use, wipe off any moisture, and store in a dry place.
